About the Mercedes-Benz C-Class W203

Introduced in 2000 as the successor to the W202, the 203 series brought a more dynamic design to the C-Class, distinguished by its linked-shape headlamps. The new generation incorporated advances in safety, comfort and electronic management, together with a redesigned interior and a broader engine range.

The family consisted of the W203 saloon, S203 estate and CL203 Sportcoupe. It was offered with petrol, Kompressor and CDI engines, manual and automatic transmissions, 4MATIC all-wheel drive and AMG models including the C 32 AMG and C 55 AMG.

The 2004 model revision changed the design, interior, chassis, electronic systems and part of the engine range. The variety of body styles and differences between vehicles produced before and after this revision make careful identification essential when selecting a manual.
