About the Mercedes-Benz S-Class W112

The Mercedes-Benz W112 held a special position among the brand’s classic models. Marketed as the 300 SE, it combined the styling basis of the W111 with a higher level of technical equipment and luxury, including the M189 engine, an inline six-cylinder unit, air suspension, power steering and disc brakes on all four wheels.

Unlike other Fintail models, the W112 was not simply another variant of the family. Its configuration placed it closer to Mercedes-Benz representative cars, with sedan, long-wheelbase sedan, coupé and cabriolet versions.
