The G-Class has a front engine and four-wheel drive. The traditional bodies are two-door cabriolet, three-door family, five-door family and three-door van. The last two versions can have short and long chassis, while the first two are offered only with short chassis. Different versions were equipped with gasoline and diesel engines.
