Is a tourism car with sedan, family and coupe body that was manufactured between 1976 and 1985. It marked a breakthrough by establishing new safety standards combining active safety with passive safety. This model could be requested with all the extras available for a new car: electric windows, sunroof, air conditioning or climate control, cruise control, headlamps height adjustable, automatic transmission, etc. Regarding the innovation in engines, the wide range of gasoline and diesel engines available for this model adds for the first time a turbocharged diesel engine, the 300D turbodiesel OM617, which with five cylinders manages to reach 125 HP, marking the start in the development of high-performance diesel engines for the automotive market. Different versions were equipped with gasoline and diesel engines.
